According to police reports, a 65-year-old man from Shrewsbury, Vermont, was charged with driving under the influence following an incident on March 1, 2026, in Mount Holly. Vermont State Police responded to a call about a suspicious individual near a residence on Dawley Road North at approximately 11:33 PM.

Upon arrival, officers found Edmund Gaines, whose vehicle was stuck nearby. During the investigation, police observed signs of impairment, leading to his arrest.
