According to police reports, Gregory Evans, a 53-year-old resident of Mendon, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on US Route 4 in Killington on February 28, 2026. Officers observed his vehicle exceeding the speed limit, traveling at 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.

During the stop, authorities noted signs of impairment, leading to Evans being charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a breath test. He was taken to the Rutland Barracks for processing and subsequently released with a citation.
