According to police reports, a drug investigation led to the arrest of two men on February 23, 2026, in Brattleboro, Vermont. Mark Kriskov, 63, of Brattleboro, and Justin Nation, 33, of East Hartford, Connecticut, were taken into custody by the Vermont State Police Drug Task Force and Brattleboro Police Department.

Authorities conducted a months-long investigation into the distribution of fentanyl and cocaine from an apartment located at 32 Fairgrounds Road. According to police, the operation involved confidential informants who purchased cocaine from Kriskov on four occasions and from Nation once. Searches of the residence uncovered 885 bags of suspected fentanyl, approximately 111 grams of crack cocaine, a firearm, and evidence of cocaine manufacturing. Nation was also found with cash and additional crack cocaine at the time of his arrest.

Nation was processed and subsequently jailed at the Southern State Correctional Facility, with bail set at $50,000. He appeared in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court on the day of his arrest. Kriskov received a citation and is scheduled to appear in court on April 21, 2026. Both individuals face multiple charges, and the Windham County State’s Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution. Charges are allegations and may change as the case progresses.
