Two-car crash in Eden leads to overturned vehicle, police say

In Eden, Vermont, police say an 18-year-old driver was charged after her vehicle overturned in a crash with another car on Route 100.

Vermont State Police say a two-car crash occurred on Route 100 at the intersection of Blakeville Road in Eden on February 18, 2026, at approximately 1:43 PM. The incident involved an 18-year-old driver from Eden, identified as Brooke Therrien, and a 57-year-old resident of Belvidere, Brent Jones.

According to police reports, Therrien was traveling north when Jones attempted to turn south onto Route 100 from Blakeville Road, leading to a collision between the two vehicles. The impact caused Therrien’s vehicle, a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, to overturn. Fortunately, there were no major injuries reported; however, Therrien is suspected to have sustained minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Emergency responders from the North Hyde Park/Eden Fire Department, Northern EMS, and Daniel’s Towing assisted at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and charges have not yet been filed. The legal status of the case may evolve as further details emerge. No court dates have been set at this time, and all charges remain allegations pending the outcome of the investigation.
