Vermont State Police say a man was arrested on multiple charges following two incidents involving stalking and unlawful restraint in Duxbury and Moretown. Michael E. McNamara, 42, a transient from Waterbury, is accused of stalking 44-year-old Leighann Ravelin on two occasions.

According to police reports, the first incident occurred on February 3, 2026, when McNamara allegedly trespassed onto Ravelin’s property in Moretown, committed burglary, and stole items from her residence. Subsequently, on February 11, at around 5:09 AM, authorities responded to a report of stalking in Duxbury. Investigators discovered that McNamara had unlawfully restrained Ravelin with his vehicle and engaged in disorderly conduct, violating an active condition of release.

McNamara turned himself in at the Berlin Barracks later that morning and was charged with stalking (twice), second-degree unlawful restraint, unlawful trespass (twice), burglary, petit larceny, disorderly conduct, and violation of conditions of release. He received a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Washington County, on February 11, 2026, at 12:30 PM. Charges are allegations, and the court date may change as the case progresses.
