Vermont State Police say a domestic assault incident in Topsham led to the arrest of 65-year-old Michael Kennedy from Groton on February 3, 2026. Police responded to the report of an assault and subsequently charged Kennedy with Second Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and DUI #2-Refusal.

According to police reports, officers conducted an investigation at the scene, which resulted in Kennedy’s arrest. He was taken to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing and later issued a citation for a court appearance. Kennedy is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on February 4, 2026, at 12:30 PM. Due to a lack of bail, set at $500, he is currently being held at the Northeastern Correctional Complex.
