Vermont State Police say a two-vehicle collision occurred on Route 105 at Sheldon Heights in Sheldon on February 3, 2026, around 1:34 PM. The crash involved 85-year-old Robert Reed from Fairfield, who was driving a 2017 Kia Sportage, and 73-year-old Nancy Campbell from Richford, who was stationary in her 2018 Subaru Forrester.

According to police, Reed was traveling westbound when he failed to stop in time for several vehicles halted at the intersection, leading to a rear-end collision with Campbell’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. Following the crash, emergency responders transported all involved parties to Northwestern Medical Center for evaluation.

No court actions or charges have been reported as of yet. The investigation is ongoing, and the situation may evolve as more information becomes available. Police remind the public that charges are allegations until proven in a court of law.
