According to police reports, a 54-year-old man from Morrisville was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Laporte Road in Morristown on February 3, 2026. Vermont State Police conducted the stop around 8:25 PM after discovering that the vehicle’s registration was expired.

Troopers from the Williston Barracks initiated the traffic stop after checking the vehicle’s registration. During their interaction with the driver, identified as Jonathan Bridgman, officers observed signs of impairment. As a result, Bridgman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to the Morristown Police Department for processing.

Bridgman has been released on a citation and is scheduled to appear in the Lamoille County Superior Court on February 18, 2026, at 12:30 PM to face the DUI charge. Police remind the public that charges are merely allegations at this stage, and court dates may change as the case progresses.
