According to police reports, a two-vehicle collision occurred on February 3, 2026, around noon on VT Route 242 in Jay, Vermont, near the entrance to Jay Peak Resort. The crash involved Riley Booth, 29, of North Troy, and Brianna LaBerge, 23, of Westfield.

Police say Booth was exiting the resort and failed to yield to oncoming traffic while entering VT Route 242, resulting in a collision with LaBerge’s vehicle. The incident caused damage to the driver’s side front-end of Booth’s 2007 Honda Element and the passenger side front-end of LaBerge’s 2019 Nissan Sentra. Fortunately, neither driver reported any injuries from the crash.

Rays Towing and Greniers Towing were called to the scene to assist with the vehicles involved. No charges have been reported at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Legal proceedings may follow, and as with all allegations, the circumstances surrounding the incident may change as authorities continue their inquiry. No court dates have been established yet.
