Vermont State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on January 29, 2026, at approximately 9:25 PM at the intersection of Creek Road and Kingdom Road in Albany. The accident involved operators Brittany Ritchie, 36, from Rutland City, and Shannon Danaher, 38, from Albany.
According to police reports, Ritchie failed to yield at a stop sign, resulting in her Acura TL colliding with Danaher’s Kia Carnival. While Danaher and her passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to North Country Hospital for treatment, Ritchie and her passengers did not report any injuries. Following the incident, Ritchie was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for failure to yield, a violation of Title 23 VSA 1048(b).
Additionally, a passenger in Ritchie’s vehicle, identified as Adam Tatro, was cited for violating conditions of his court-ordered release. He is scheduled to appear in Orleans County Superior Court on March 24, 2026, at 8:30 AM. According to the report, all charges are allegations and the court date is subject to change.
