Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to the incident at mile marker 69.9. Emergency Medical Services transported Mitchell to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. Police say the weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.
