Vermont State Police say a 21-year-old man from Huntington was arrested for suspected driving under the influence following a response to a disabled vehicle on Interstate 89 South in Waterbury early on January 25, 2026.
According to police reports, Troopers arrived at the scene around 4:07 AM and identified the driver as Matthew Ploof. Observations made by the officers indicated signs of impairment, leading to Ploof’s arrest on suspicion of DUI. He was processed at the Berlin Barracks and subsequently released with a citation.
