According to police reports, a 38-year-old man from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on US 4 in Killington late on January 22, 2026. Vermont State Police say they initiated the stop after observing a traffic violation near Killington Road.
While speaking with the driver, identified as Michael Vitols, officers noted signs of impairment. Vitols was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing. Following this, he was released on a citation to appear in court.
