Carey while he was traveling south on US Route 7 without his headlights on, nearly colliding with police vehicles at the scene of another incident.
According to police reports, during the interaction, officers noted several signs of impairment. Carey was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. Following his arrest, he was released on a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Bennington Criminal Division.
