According to police reports, Vermont State Police responded to reports of suspicious behavior on Main Street North in Newbury early on December 8, 2025. At approximately 12:52 a.m., an unidentified male was seen attempting to unlawfully enter two parked vehicles.
The suspect was unsuccessful in gaining access to the cars and subsequently left the area. Police say he continued down the road, where he caused damage to a nearby business sign. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
