According to police reports, a 30-year-old South Hero resident, Kevin Manning, was arrested on December 24, 2025, following a search warrant executed at his home on Lake Drive. The Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department conducted the operation in response to multiple complaints of package thefts within the county, collaborating with the Vermont State Police, the Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife, and the Postal Inspector Unit.

During the search, law enforcement recovered several items reported stolen, as well as additional items not yet reported missing. Police say that if residents suspect they have been victims of theft, they should contact the Grand Isle Sheriff’s Department.

Manning was processed and subsequently released on a citation. He is scheduled to appear in Grand Isle District Court on January 22, 2026, at 8:30 AM to face charges of theft and possession of stolen property. According to the report, the charges remain allegations until proven in court, and court dates may change as the case progresses.
