Vermont State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Stannard Mountain Road in Stannard on December 22, 2025, at approximately 5:05 PM. The incident involved a 25-year-old Eden resident, Carson Wells, operating a 2013 RAM 3500, and a 53-year-old Greensboro resident, David Demag, driving a 2013 Ford F-150.
According to police reports, Wells was traveling north when he failed to maintain his lane, resulting in a collision with Demag’s vehicle, which was heading south. Despite efforts by Demag to avoid the crash, the two vehicles sideswiped each other on the driver’s side. While Wells’ vehicle sustained minor damage, Demag’s vehicle incurred substantial damage, and he is suspected of having minor injuries. All individuals involved were assessed at the scene and cleared by emergency responders.
Emergency services from Greensboro Fire Department, Hardwick Ambulance, and local towing companies assisted at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and charges may be forthcoming as the situation develops. Further legal proceedings will be determined as the case progresses.
