Vermont State Police say a traffic stop on Interstate 89 Southbound near mile marker 55.2 in Middlesex on December 13 led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Northfield resident, Thomas Waden, who is suspected of driving under the influence.

According to police reports, officers from the Berlin Barracks conducted the stop around 3:12 a.m. During the interaction, Waden exhibited signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI and taken to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Waden has been issued a citation to appear in court regarding the charge.
