Vermont State Police say a traffic stop in Ferrisburgh late on December 9, 2025, resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old Shoreham resident for violating court-ordered conditions of release. The incident occurred around 11:55 PM on US Route 7, near the intersection with Vermont Route 22A.

According to police, Arlyn R. Sunderland was pulled over following a traffic violation. Upon investigation, it was determined he was not in compliance with his conditions of release from a previous legal matter. Following his arrest, Sunderland was taken to the New Haven State Police Barracks for processing and subsequently issued a citation.

Sunderland is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on February 2, 2026, at 12:30 PM. Police emphasize that the charges are allegations, and as the case progresses, court dates and charges may change.
