Vermont State Police say a 50-year-old resident of Montgomery was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license following an incident on December 9 at around 6:34 PM. Officers observed Jason P. Stanhope operating his vehicle erratically on Vermont Route 105 in Enosburgh, where the vehicle came to a stop partially on the roadway.
According to the report, police discovered that Stanhope was under the influence of alcohol and that his driver’s license had been previously suspended. He was subsequently processed for DUI and cited for driving with a suspended license. Additionally, Stanhope was lodged on an outstanding warrant related to the license suspension.
Stanhope is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Court on December 10 at 1:00 PM regarding the warrant and again on December 22 at 8:30 AM for the DUI and driving with a suspended license charges. Police remind the public that charges are allegations at this stage, and court dates are subject to change.
