Vermont State Police say a vehicle rollover crash occurred on Duffy Hill Road in Enosburgh on December 7, 2025, at approximately 5:02 PM. The accident involved a 24-year-old operator, Jon Schurger, from Sheldon, who lost control of his 2015 Ram 1500 while navigating a right turn, resulting in the vehicle exiting the road and rolling over.
According to police reports, snow-covered roads contributed to the incident. Schurger was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries, while his 25-year-old passenger, Deanna Currier, was wearing her seatbelt and was transported to Northwestern Medical Center for precautionary evaluation. An 11-month-old juvenile, also in the vehicle, was unharmed but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Emergency medical services responded promptly to the scene, and all three individuals were transported for further assessment. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and police have not indicated whether any charges will be filed against the operator.
As the case develops, further legal proceedings may be announced, and the public is reminded that all charges are allegations until proven in a court of law.
